The Australian Embassy in Chile is looking for an experienced Corportate Services Manager to join the service delivery team. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Australian Embassy.

About the Position
The Corporate Services Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Australian Embassy in Santiago. This is a senior position at the Embassy working under limited direction to the SAO and supervises staff.

The key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
• Provide high level advice and strategic support to Post Management on Australia-Based and Locally Engaged human resource management including finance, procurement and contract management, property, and consular and passport service delivery
• Review and implement corporate policies and practices, in consultation with the SAO, to streamline processes, support compliance with requirements and resolve problems.
• Manage Locally Engaged Staff human resource services including recruitment and selection, onboarding, termination and ongoing services such as payroll and entitlement calculations
• Manage post’s owned and leased property portfolio, in consultation with key stakeholders, in accordance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
• Manage finance services including budget management, financial reporting, audit and assurance, accounts receivable and payable, travel, representation funds, bank accounts, taxation and assets.
• Establish, develop and maintain strong working relationships with a range of key internal and external stakeholders, including financial institutions, local authorities and partner agencies, and represent the work area at relevant meetings to achieve optimal outcomes for the Embassy
• Supervise a small team, including allocating resources, setting priorities, monitoring workflow, managing performance and training and identifying learning and mentoring opportunities.

Qualifications/Experience
• Relevant qualifications and/or at least five years’ working experience in a similar field
• High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and accounting-based software (eg SAP) or capacity to develop that proficiency in a short period
• Demonstrated ability to analyse financial data to make recommendations
• Demonstrated ability to interpret policies and regulations and apply them
• High level of initiative, adaptability and ability to guide a team
• Strong organisational skill with an ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines under limited supervision
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise, think strategically, apply judgement and innovation to achieve results
• High-level written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English
